Nestled between the neighbouring regions of Shoalhaven and the Southern Highlands, Kangaroo Valley must be one of the most enchanting and picturesque in the state.

Whether for a day trip or a longer stay, the Kangaroo Valley is a must for visitors based in either region.

Only twenty minutes west of Nowra, you'll come into this magical expanse of rolling, lush pasturelands. On your way there, don't miss going to the lookout at the top of Cambewarra Mountain for spectacular views of the valley, Nowra and the coast.

The famous sandstone Hampden Bridge, built in the 1890's, is Australia's oldest suspension bridge and is a most impressive and attractive structure

In the Kangaroo Valley township itself you'll find a selection of country style shops including antique, craft and confectionery outlets.

A range of fine eating is available at the local restaurants and cafes. Kangaroo Valley is home to an orchard based tourist attraction which is fascinating to young and older. A pioneer farm museum also welcomes visitors.

Accommodation can be arranged at local caravan parks, country resorts, B&B's or the local pub.
