You can also shop at many of our smaller shopping centres located throughout the district. Milton has a shopping centre with some beautifully restored historical buildings. Milton is also host to a colourful village of interesting craft, art and new age outlets. TheatresA local cinema offers up to date releases with frequent daily screening sessions. Children are well catered for especially during holidays.Video hire (machines, cassettes and games) is well serviced with many outlets offering hire to visitors. Live entertainment with both local and city acts, is often staged at our licensed clubs. There are many other cultural groups including dance, music, ethnic, poetry etc and visitors are generally welcomed to their meetings and recitals. KidsOur beaches are the biggest attraction here for children of all ages. The good variety of swimming spots ensure paddlers and experienced surfers all find the perfect spot to enjoy the beach.The local cinema caters particularly well for kids especially during holiday seasons and a public swimming pool is also available for kid's entertainment. Right in the middle of town is an indoor amusement centre with games, rides and souvenirs to keep the kids happy for hours. Ulladulla has a modern swimming and leisure centre as well as a highly regarded skate park. Many of our parks and foreshores have play equipment and video hire is available for those rare stay inside days. EventsThe major annual event in the region is the blessing of the fleet, a moving and colourful range of activites. This is a tradition brought to us by Italian fishermen and is celebrated to bring good luck to the fleet. A street parade is just one of the exciting activites held during this annual ritual.Many sporting and cultural events are also held throughout the year. The settlers fair is held at Milton each year to celebrate the history of the region. Country fetes and art exhibitions are also presented on a regular basis.
