Activities in the immediate North Durras area include swimming or canoeing in Lake Durras, widely acclaimed as the most pristine lake in NSW. Fishing, surfing and boating are also popular in our beautiful waterways.

There is a wealth of interesting bushwalking alternatives in the spotted gum forests of the Murramarang National Park or you can spend many hours on leisurely strolls along our magnificent and very secluded beach.

You will be enchanted with the wide variety of native animals that you will encounter during your stay, including the resident families of Eastern Grey kangaroos and our abundant bird populations (Lorikeets, King Parrots, Rosellas, Galahs and native Pigeons).

Although Portholes is in a quiet and secluded village within the Murramarang National Park, it is only a 20 minute drive to the vibrant tourist centre of Batemans Bay where you can find excellent dining, entertainment and shopping. The amazing range of attractions in the nearby region is also accessible within a short drive of the B&B.
