Jamberoo

These smaller townships are a haven for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle but still enjoy a holiday atmosphere. Just a few minutes out of Kiama, these sleepy villages are the perfect place to relax and unwind whilst still being within easy distance of the Leisure Coast's array of attractions.

Close by you can spend a day visiting the wildlife refuge, home to kangaroos, emus, wombats and many more of Australia's fantastic native flora and fauna including our colourful parrots.

Seven Mile Beach

South of Gerroa stretches the magnificent Seven Mile Beach. This spectacular beach is protected within its own National Park and is backed by beautiful stands of our grand forests and other native vegetation. Wonderful views of the expanse of this beach and its park can be appreciated from the northern entrance to Gerroa.

There is a range of accommodation in the two towns and restaurants and clubs provide fine food and entertainment for their welcome visitors.

Jamberoo, a little west of the other towns, is something different again. A rural village surrounded by lush dairy farms, it charms with its historic buildings and country atmosphere.

Just a few kilometres north of the town is a year round recreation park. Grass skiing with chairlift is one of the most popular attractions along with waterslides, bobsleds, racing cars, minigolf and more. Just west of Jamberoo is the beautiful Minnamurra Rainforest Park, part of the Budderoo National Park and hosting a rainforest education centre and boardwalks into this precious environment.

National Parks

Beyond Minnamurra Falls is a nature reserve popular with bird watchers and with heathlands in stark contrast to the coastal strip.

Back in the village you'll find a fair dinkum country welcome at the historic pub and other eateries. If you are a golfer you should not miss the wonderful Gerringong course set in rolling hills overlooking the surf.

No matter where you choose as your base for a stay around this southern area of the Leisure Coast, you'll be perfectly located to appreciate our superb natural environment, our established attractions and our warm country hospitality.
