Ron was born in Balranald but grew up in variety of boys homes and foster homes around the Sydney area. Art has been part of his life since he came to settle in Batemans Bay in 1974.


Ron's signature card of the twin snakes is an image of himself and his older brother who was separated from him in childhood and who, as yet, has not been found.


Encouraged by his wife Jenny to try ceramic painting, Ron has recently explored this medium to great effect, developing a unique style and stunning designs.

Ron has also been working on a new product in conjunction with Richard Scott, Master Craftsman. Richard's furniture provides an ideal background for the 'Dimbaloo' Aboriginal artists to create unique pieces which, according to buyers requirements, can be decorated sparingly or designed to display a complete work such as is shown in the illustrated coffee table below.

Richard Scott
Born in England, Richard gained membership of The Guild of Master Craftsmen before coming to Australia in 1987. He has been in business as a furniture maker since that time and produces a complete range of hand-made furniture, from footstools to full dining room settings.
