Colin Davis Nephew, but known by many in the Aboriginal community as son of famous Sydney identity 'Mum Shirl', Colin made his way to Batemans Bay in 1974. There is a lasting image of Colin's work in Silverwater prison, a magnificent mural which he painted to encourage and lift the spirits of the inmates. In turning to Christianity, Colin has found happiness and inspiration which has not only allowed him to develop his own art, but has given him the ability to share it with others. He spends many hours passing on his skills to both the local Aboriginal community and to all our children in classes from pre-school to high school. |
